Disclaimer
We know this topic can feel important and personal. This page explains, in plain language, what Willowbarrow does, what we do not do, and how we handle your information with care.
What Willowbarrow is
Willowbarrow is a free guide and matching service for families looking at independent living, assisted living, or continuing-care communities for an aging parent. We help families learn about options and connect with communities in our network.
We are not a senior-living provider, a government agency, a law firm, a medical practice, or a financial advisor. We do not own or operate communities. Your family makes the final choice about whether to move forward, stay at home, or do nothing right now.
Many families care for a parent at home first, and we respect that. Senior living is one possible next chapter, centered on community, meals, activities, less home upkeep, and support that fits daily life.
- Matching is always free for families
- We help you explore, compare, and ask good questions
- Your parent remains a person with preferences, routines, and dignity
General information, not personal advice
The information on this website is general and educational. It is meant to help families understand common terms, community types, and questions to consider.
Nothing on this site, in our messages, or in a conversation with Willowbarrow is medical, legal, tax, immigration, or financial advice. We do not diagnose, recommend treatment, interpret legal rights, or tell you what to spend.
If your family needs advice in one of those areas, please speak with a qualified professional you trust. Willowbarrow can still help you explore community options while you get that separate guidance.
- Independent living means a private apartment in a community, often with meals and activities
- Assisted living is similar, with added help for daily routines such as dressing, bathing, or medications
- Continuing-care communities offer more than one level of living on one campus or within one organization
How matching works
When you use get matched, you share basic details so we can understand what your family is looking for. That may include your preferred city or area, your language, your budget range, the kind of community you want to explore, and how you would like us to contact you.
We may use that information to suggest communities in our network that appear to fit what you told us. A match is not a promise of price, availability, admission, or a wait-list spot. Actual options depend on the city, the apartment, the level of support, community policies, and what is included.
You are never required to choose a community through Willowbarrow. You can stop, pause, or continue on your own at any time. You can also learn more about Willowbarrow before deciding whether to use the service.
- We aim to be helpful, clear, and respectful
- We may offer support in your family's preferred language when available
- The family always chooses what to do next
What we collect, and what we do not collect
We try to keep forms simple. We collect the contact and preference details needed to respond to your request and help with matching. That may include a name, phone number, email address, preferred language, city, and general preferences about community type and timing.
We do not ask for or need medical records, diagnoses, treatment history, insurance numbers, Social Security numbers, bank-account details, passport details, or immigration documents to provide basic matching help. Please do not send those materials through our forms, email, or text unless we clearly request something limited for a specific reason.
If a community later asks your family for additional information as part of its own process, that request comes from the community, not from Willowbarrow. Each community handles its own review, availability, and move-in decisions.
- Please share only the information needed for us to contact you and understand your preferences
- Avoid sending highly sensitive personal documents through general contact forms
- If you are ever unsure, ask us before sending extra information
Calls, texts, and your consent
If you submit a form, you may be asked to agree to be contacted by phone, text, or email about your request. That consent is given by you on the form. It lets us follow up about matching and related service updates.
Your consent is not a condition of buying anything, because matching through Willowbarrow is free. Message and data rates from your phone carrier may apply.
You can withdraw consent at any time. If you no longer want calls or texts, follow the unsubscribe instructions in the message, reply with a stop request when available, or contact us and ask us to stop.
- You control whether to submit the form
- You can ask us to stop contacting you at any time
- We use your contact information to respond to your request and provide the service
State disclosures and network relationships
In some states, referral or placement services for senior living are regulated and may require specific disclosures. Willowbarrow follows applicable state rules where our service is offered, including disclosure requirements about our role and business relationships.
Communities in our network pay Willowbarrow a flat fee to participate. That helps support the service so matching stays free for families. Payment to Willowbarrow does not guarantee that a family will choose a community, qualify for residency, or receive any particular price or outcome.
We work to present information honestly and clearly, but community details can change. Availability, amenities, services, and pricing are set by each community and should be confirmed directly with them.
- We are a matching and guide service, not the community itself
- Community terms and availability can change
- Families should confirm details directly before making a decision
In simple terms, Willowbarrow is here to help your family explore senior-living options for free, with clear limits, respectful privacy, and no pressure.
